ITALIAN HARPSICHORD
CLASSIC SERIES 'AU' on MacOS ISSUE:
Classic Series libraries were developed between 2013-2015 and come as VSTi, AU, and Kontakt Instrument (.nki) format. The Audio Units version cannot be updated anymore, and is thus NOT compatible with MacOS Catalina or Later. Please do not purchase for use on MacOS unless:
a.) You are permanently on a version earlier than MacOS Catalina,
b.) You have the full (paid) version of Kontakt (not "Player") and plan to use that version only, or
c.) You are willing to use a beta SFZ format port of the library (available on request*).
*To request the SFZ version, please note it in the comments field when purchasing as normal!
PRODUCT INFO
This is a unique sampling of a reproduction harpsichord based on an Italian harpsichord from the late Renaissance. Unlike many sampled harpsichords, this instrument has a warmer tone, thanks to the authentic quill plectra and close microphone placement, making this ideal for continuo work.
Diatonically sampled with 4xRR and two stops (8', 8' + 8'). Full decays and releases sampled.
Equal Tempered, A=440.
This instrument can be found in VSCO 2.

LATE-RENAISSANCE BEAUTY
Built of maple by a master harpsichord luthier, this harpsichord is every bit as lovely sounding as it looks. While we have gone on to sample many other harpsichords, we still consider this one of our favorites for its incredibly warm, intimate tone. If you need a harpsichord with character, this is it!
Although the two 8' stops are designed with changing pitch in mind, we found that using them in parallel gives the instrument an interesting, larger tone useful for cinematic sequences.
