MARIMBA
CLASSIC SERIES 'AU' on MacOS ISSUE:
Classic Series libraries were developed between 2013-2015 and come as VSTi, AU, and Kontakt Instrument (.nki) format. The Audio Units version cannot be updated anymore, and is thus NOT compatible with MacOS Catalina or Later. Please do not purchase for use on MacOS unless:
a.) You are permanently on a version earlier than MacOS Catalina,
b.) You have the full (paid) version of Kontakt (not "Player") and plan to use that version only, or
c.) You are willing to use a beta SFZ format port of the library (available on request*).
*To request the SFZ version, please note it in the comments field when purchasing as normal!

PRODUCT INFO
The Marimba is a relative of the xylophone, distinct for its large, typically semi-tubular resonators found underneath the keys, and larger range than its smaller counterpart. Our marimba is deeply sampled and stands out in both solo and ensemble settings with three mic positions.
4.5 octaves of wholetone sampling across 3 velocities; 4-6 RR. Includes pre-recorded rolls.
This particular marimba is part of VSCO 2.

SAMPLED FROM SCRATCH
This marimba was so new that we had to help assemble it before we could sample it! Luckily we had professional mallets player Jii on hand so we wouldn't put anything on backwards.
Jii masterfully performed the samples for this library, recorded in an concert hall, on a warm summer afternoon in 2014. Little did we know this would be the start of what would become VSCO 2!
Several years later, this is still one of our absolute favorite instruments we've sampled.
