TIMPANI
CLASSIC SERIES 'AU' on MacOS ISSUE:
Classic Series libraries were developed between 2013-2015 and come as VSTi, AU, and Kontakt Instrument (.nki) format. The Audio Units version cannot be updated anymore, and is thus NOT compatible with MacOS Catalina or Later. Please do not purchase for use on MacOS unless:
a.) You are permanently on a version earlier than MacOS Catalina,
b.) You have the full (paid) version of Kontakt (not "Player") and plan to use that version only, or
c.) You are willing to use a beta SFZ format port of the library (available on request*).
*To request the SFZ version, please note it in the comments field when purchasing as normal!
PRODUCT INFO
The timpani are perhaps best known from their bold appearance in Also Sprach Zarathustra. As one of the few pitched membranophones, they play and integral role in the orchestral percussion section.
We have balanced the samples out across velocities and notes to create a highly playable instrument with a broad dynamic range and an exceptionally punchy top velocity.
Features 4-6 RR, 5 velocity layers, wholetone sampling.
This particular set of timpani is not part of VSCO 2.

WITH A MIGHTY THUNDER...
Timpani was recorded with a large array of mics to provide a powerful performance by carefully blending many perspectives together.
Unlike many timpani libraries which sit too far back in a mix, we designed Timpani to be raw and energetic, like the sound of the true instruments themselves.
Although one of our earlier projects, it's still one of our favorites in terms of final product. We couldn't be happier!
